Located in the centre of the geo-economic rectangle made up of Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Bilbao, Zaragoza (see the map) occupies a privileged position as Europe´s gateway to the Iberian Peninsula, a role it has been playing as far as communications and exchanges are concerned from the Roman era up to the present day. Zaragoza and its environment have experienced a true revolution as far as communications are concerned. Not only as regards roads but also railways and planes. To come via Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia or Bilbao you can take motorways. For railroad traffic, the high speed train links Zaragoza to Madrid and to Barcelona with several departure times through the day. For air transport, Zaragoza has a modern airport that links the city to the main Spanish capitals and some international destinations.

These cards can be bought in the information kiosk at the Centro Independencia El Caracol, which is also a customer service point.
