The University Residence of Jaca was inaugurated in 1929 to provide residence for the Summer Courses on Spanish Language and Culture of the University of Zaragoza.
At present, the University Residence of the University of Zaragoza should be included in the offer of accommodation in the City of Jaca, aimed mainly at the student community, and also at other universities and teaching and research centres.

Besides the abovementioned Summer Courses, which include the study of Spanish as a foreign language and university activities centred on topics of social interest, Congresses, Debates and Scientific Seminars are also held at the Residence, as well as frequent cultural meetings.During the winter season, it is also a privileged home base for doing winter sports.
