Current legislation provides that programmes of
study toward official degrees that have been totally
or partially modified shall be progressively discontinued,
year by year. Once an academic year programme
has been discontinued, students will have four
exam sessions during the next two academic years.
If these exam sittings are exhausted without passing
the courses, the students who wish to continue
their studies must do so following the new programmes
of study by adapting or, if applicable, validating
their courses, at the University’s discretion.
As a general rule, students may not enrol in subjects
in programmes of study that are being discontinued
and in which they have not been enrolled in the
last two years. All students in this situation
should adapt their studies to the new programmes.
Likewise, transfer of academic credit to programmes
of study that are being discontinued will not
be allowed. Transfer credit will be accepted,
however, for the new programmes of study.
Students must take the decision to adapt to a
new programme of study or to continue with the
former one, if that is the case, during the normal
enrolment period, i.e., before commencing the
corresponding academic year.
