Temas de Interés - Main research interest

-Micropaleontology. Taxonomy, ecology and paleoecology of benthic foraminifera.Paleoenvironmental reconstructions based on benthic foraminifera.Analysis of critical events:
-Recovery of primary productivity, the carbon cycle, and the marine ecosystems after the Cretaceous/Paleogene (K/Pg or K/T) boundary impact event (~65.5 million years ago).
-Causes and consequences of Paleogene global warming events (hyperthermals): extinctions, ocean acidification and other paleoenvironmental consequences.
-Cretaceous Ocean Anoxic Events.
-Recovery of the benthos after volcanic eruptions (40.000 to 300.000 years ago).
